Based on current data, Lucian and Nami remains the most popular pairing with a 50.5% win rate. However, Aphelios and Thresh show the highest overall performance with a 72.6% win rate across 84 games. Kaisa and Nautilus also perform exceptionally well, maintaining a 62.1% win rate in high-level play.

Aphelios and Thresh lead the rankings with a massive 72.6% win rate, followed by Kaisa and Nautilus at 62.1%. Yunara and Lulu also show strong results with a 54.8% win rate. These duos significantly outperform more common pairings like Lucian and Nami or Corki and Nami.

High synergy scores, such as the +17.8% seen with Aphelios and Thresh, indicate that the champions complement each other beyond their individual strengths. Success in Master+ often involves specific mechanic overlaps like Thresh's lantern helping Aphelios's lack of mobility. Strong duos currently favor either hyper-scaling with protection or aggressive engage potential to snowball early leads.

The analysis is based on a total of 7,899 bot lane games tracked during Patch 16.2.1. This data encompasses 1,481 unique duo combinations at the Master+ rank. Individual top-tier duos have sample sizes ranging from 66 to 109 games to ensure statistical relevance in the current meta.

While top synergy duos like Aphelios and Thresh show high win rates, these often require high mechanical proficiency specific to the pairing. In Master+, the synergy score measures how much better champions perform together compared to apart, suggesting that mastering these specific duos provides a significant edge. Players should balance their champion pool comfort with these statistically superior combinations to maximize their climbing potential.

Pick rate does not always correlate with win rate, as seen by Lucian and Nami having the highest pick rate at 1.4% but a modest 50.5% win rate. In contrast, Aphelios and Thresh have a slightly lower 1.1% pick rate but a much higher 72.6% win rate. This suggests that the most popular duos are often reliable blind picks, while the highest win rate duos are highly effective specialized tools.

Patch 16.2.1 has solidified the dominance of specific pairings like Yunara and Lulu and Aphelios and Thresh. The data shows high synergy scores for these duos, indicating they are currently well-positioned in the meta. While traditional pairings like Lucian and Nami remain common, they are being outperformed by these newer or more specialized combinations.
